Laura Lee Benson, author

Laura Lee Benson has been writing about the world around her for as long as she can remember. She grew up in a home filled with pets and wrote stories and poems about nature and the animals that she loved. She earned her B.A. in psychology and is certified in early childhood education.

John Carrozza, illustrator

John Carrozza first fell in love with the desert during a visit to the Grand Canyon. He studied at the Vesper George School of Art in Boston and has been a freelance illustrator for twelve years. He lives in Massachusetts with his dog, Emily.
